Mobile EV charging in Los Angeles costs $175 flat with Mobile Charge Pro — that covers the dispatch, the on-site charge to get you to the next station, and a 12V jump-start if your low-voltage battery is also dead. There are no membership fees, no surprise add-ons, and no per-mile charges within the service area.

The full price breakdown

ServicePrice
Standard mobile EV charge (within 50 mi of Pasadena)$175
After-hours surcharge (2am–6am dispatches)+$50
Outside 50-mile radiusCustom quote
CCS1 connector (on request)Additional charge
12V jump-startIncluded

The after-hours surcharge applies to the dispatch time, not when you call. If you call at 1:55am and the truck rolls at 2:10am, the $50 applies. If you call at 1:50am and the truck reaches you by 1:58am, it does not.

For locations outside the 50-mile radius from Pasadena, there is no published rate — call for a quote. See the coverage map to confirm your location is in the standard service area before booking.

How this compares to a tow

A standard tow in Los Angeles runs $75–$150 for the hook-up fee, plus $3–$7 per mile after the first few. A 15-mile tow to the nearest Supercharger commonly lands at $150–$250. Then you still need to wait at the charger — which on a busy evening at a Supercharger in Hollywood or Santa Monica can be another 30–45 minutes.

Total out-of-pocket for a tow-plus-charge: often $200–$350, plus one to two hours of your time.

Mobile Charge Pro drives to you, charges you on-site, and gets you moving for $175. No second stop. No Supercharger queue.

What the $175 delivers

The $175 service provides enough charge to reach the next available charging station from your location — not a full top-up of your pack. This is defined as the service's deliverable. For most stranded scenarios in greater LA, that means 20–40 miles of added range: enough to get home, to a Supercharger, or to any Level 2 public charger.

If you need CCS1 (common on pre-2024 Ford, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Rivian, Polestar, and Lucid vehicles), request it when you book — it is available at an additional charge quoted at booking.

Payment and refunds

Payment is processed at the time of booking, before dispatch. If the truck has a mechanical failure or the generator cannot deliver charge on scene, you receive a full refund. If you cancel after dispatch, or the vehicle refuses the charge due to a BMS lockout or damaged port, the charge stands. Full refund terms are on the terms page.
